Build to Print

The term “build to print” is simply a process of removing the design aspect of a project and building a system to an approved set of drawings.

Our vast experience and defined in-house project management means we treat a build to print project just as we would a full project but remove the design stage.

Communication and documentation are paramount throughout the project cycle, so again our internal project management system takes care of this.

Build to print can range from small jigs and fixtures to standalone control systems, contract programming, or large scale production systems.

Not only have we collaborated with end users, but we have also worked closely with other machine builders to assist them when required.

Project Planning

The ideal scenario would be for every project to go smoothly from start to finish. At FH, we understand that this is not always the case with reliance on bought in supply chains being just one area that can make projects slip.

Identifying these slippages as early as possible is just as important to the client as it is to FH, but what’s more important is understanding how any delays will be negated.

Weekly updates are given to the client via a project plan or project update meeting, either by a phone call or video conference so they can see the progress. This allows for a transparent approach ensuring all stakeholders know at each stage where the project is. Slippage recovery will be discussed and a plan of action put in place to ensure the project is put back on track to the agreed schedule.

No system would be complete without the electrical hardware that is required to power, control and allow communication between the various components of each system.

Having highly skilled and trained electricians Eco-System Partners enables us to quickly and efficiently complete the full electrical installation of new cells and also the modification of existing systems to meet the needs of any new design and build.

Integrating the solutions from concept to build suiting to the requirement of the mechanical machine that has been design.

Electrical design for electrical control panels is carried out using our Eplan facilities or AutoCAD, dependant on the end users preference. The final set of electrical design documentation will include schematics diagrams, control panel layouts, list of component parts, terminal layouts and cable core allocations.

The software is the stage where the mechanical and electrical parts of our machines are fused to provide a working solution

Our in house software engineers are continuously being tasked with new challenges, and as result, their knowledge is developed. With the ability to program over multiple platforms, such as Beckhoff, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Omron, Siemens amongst others, this allows us to provide clients with a system that suits their exact needs.

Vision systems, are just the same, having experience using Cognex, Keyance, Omron, Wenglor amongst many others allows us to adapt to almost any system.
